The National - The First Two Pages of Frankenstein
$30.00
The First Two Pages of Frankenstein The National's ninth album arrived in 2023 after a rough patch: frontman Matt Berninger has spoken candidly about a creative block that followed the pandemic-canceled touring cycle for their previous record. Self-produced at guitarist Aaron Dessner's Long Pond studio in upstate New York, with additional sessions featuring the London Contemporary Orchestra, the album is built on the band's signature brooding baritone and slow-burning arrangements, brightened by guest vocals from Sufjan Stevens, Phoebe Bridgers, and Taylor Swift. Critics called it a genuine return to form, one of the band's most fully realized records in years. Received from Alliance Entertainment
