Comments:
Steal Your FaceThis live double album was recorded in October 1974 at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom, during a "farewell run" before the Dead took a break from nonstop touring. Those shows ran through the band's famous Wall of Sound, a system of more than 600 speakers that took four semi-trucks to haul. The same run was filmed for The Grateful Dead Movie. It was the last album on the band's own Grateful Dead Records label. Its lightning-bolt skull cover became the band's best-known emblem.
Notes: Same cover and labels as [r657340] with different matrix etchings "AR" on this pressing vs "Mz"
Recorded October 16th through 20th, 1974 at Winterland, San Francisco.
