Wish You Were Here Released in 1975 as the follow-up to Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here is Pink Floyd's meditation on absence and the music business, anchored by the sprawling "Shine On You Crazy Diamond," an elegy for founding member Syd Barrett, who by some accounts wandered into the studio unrecognized during its making. Roger Waters' lyrics turn pointedly bitter on the title track and "Welcome to the Machine," taking aim at record-industry cynicism, while folk singer Roy Harper guests on lead vocals for "Have a Cigar." It topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and remains a fan favorite. Received from Alliance Entertainment
