Dire Straits - Dire Straits (LP) (Very Good Plus (VG+))

$18.00
Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) Sleeve Condition: Good Plus (G+) Comments: Plays well for its age. Sleeve has coffee stains as well as sticker residue. Dire StraitsDire Straits' 1978 debut was recorded in under a month at Basing Street Studios in London with producer Muff Winwood. It captures Mark Knopfler's clean, fingerpicked Stratocaster tone at its purest, and he switches to a 1938 National resonator guitar on "Water of Love" and "Wild West End." "Sultans of Swing" was a slow burn that didn't hit the U.S. top five until months after the album came out. Once it did, the record went to number two in America and topped the charts in Germany, France, and Australia. This copy is a Columbia House club edition.
